Reka Lumina was appointed to undertake the design and build refurbishment of five Nappy Change Rooms at KLIA Terminal 1, Sepang. The objective was to enhance the airport's family-friendly facilities and provide a more comfortable, hygienic, and visually welcoming environment for parents and young children. The project involved comprehensive works including demolition, new tiling, carpentry, custom partitions, plumbing upgrades, and electrical enhancements. Each room was carefully designed to reflect a soft, modern aesthetic while meeting the functional needs of caregivers and infants. The refurbished spaces feature private nursing cubicles with lounge seating, integrated counters, and colorful wall accents to create a warm and inviting setting. Each unit also includes child-friendly toilets, handwashing stations, and baby cots arranged in thoughtfully planned layouts. Soft lighting, pastel colors, and playful elements contribute to a calm and engaging experience for families in transit. This project reflects Reka Lumina’s ability to deliver thoughtful, high-quality solutions in public infrastructure, combining practicality with uplifting design that supports the needs of modern travelers.
